Giddis Computer Training Center (GCTC) is a Computer Training Center that is located at Obili in Yaounde of the Center Region, Cameroon. The Computer Training Center started in 2007 as Giddis Pro Center.

After brainstorming on the how the Center can effectively contribute into the emergence of Cameroon by providing and equipping Youths with Technological Knowledge, the Center started functioning as a center in 2015.
With its Motto, “The Gateway to Success”, the Center since 2015 has grown into a Training Center that has successfully equipped some 85 Young Cameroonians with Computer knowledge.
Bearing in mind that educating students in Computer Science is also beneficial to those not interested in the Computer Science field, the Center has develop skills and techniques in standing out unique among the so many Computer Centers.
Given that, the digital age is on the rise, the Center has thought it wise to develop logical thinking and problem solving which are all a part of the Computer Science Curriculum. Students, regardless of interested field, studying in the Center must be avid in using Computers whether it be to create a file, write a report, or researching a certain subject.
Because job perspective for Computer Science is growing at a rapid rate, GCTC has adapted strategies having in mind that Computer Science has become a crucial tool to not only innovate the world but a way to pull students of low-income families and communities out of poverty. That is why the Center teaches from Innovation.
Like the CEO of the center, Gilfort Fur Fondzenyuy will say, “We need bright and ethical people to understand our best and most powerful technologies to ensure they are used for good. S
ocieties will die if they don’t continue to innovate and think beyond the box.”
Our mission is to “train young people who can transform the society and create greater job opportunities through information, communication and digital technology,” the CEO said.
According to Glory Tani, the Manager of the Center, “Computer Science is a noble profession without which today’s world would come to a complete halt. Computer Science has made the whole world a very small place, available at your fingertips now and it is time for us to embrace it.”
She added, “Being a reference Center for Information, Communication and Digital Technology Our Vision is to leads in Innovation and help young people create successful careers.”
Besides teaching Computer Basics, Web Designing, Social Media Management and Microsoft Suits, the Center train youths on Computerized Accounting and Secretariat Duties.
Above everything, the Center also operates the Hardware Department. Here, the department deals with the repairs and maintenance of computers as well as screens. There is installation of antivirus, hard drives and memory card recovery and networking among other things.
